Upgrades
- Converting from the factory belt to a chain seems to be one of the most popular upgrades, here's a link on everything you will need to do this conversion.
- Blackhawk offers an updated oil pump that can be swapped out relatively easily.
- You can install a hyper charger air cleaner by mounting the EVO adapter upside down and grinding clearance into the new bottom. Likewise, any air filter that fits EVO, fits the PP, but bear in mind, it has to go upside down.
- Pegasus Performance offers the teardrop replacement air filter with K&N E-3333 filter element.
- The Chief is under-braked as a consequence of a single front rotor, while new NC Chiefs have dual front rotors us Gilroy riders have to make due with one and in demanding riding the brakes are prone to overheating and fading. A good upgrade to make here is to convert to floating rotors (I like Russell) and Lyndall pads. Here are the part numbers.
